19 of the Russian's 21 titles have been earned on hardcourt
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev won his maiden championship for over two years with success over opponent Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a challenging season, managing just one match at the Grand Slams and experiencing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
His inconsistency on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serve in particular - resulted in him falling of the world's top 10 and eventually splitting with long-term mentor his previous coach.
Now collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, he has gradually improved in the past month - peaking in a hard-fought competitive triumph over challenger Moutet.
This marks the player's maiden trophy after the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface from spring of 2023.
Success also means the Russian has won 21 championships at 21 distinct competitions.
"It's the first time I am participating in a competition with my two daughters together, so to win a trophy is really nice," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my second daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I got when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had failed in his previous six championship matches, including in the German tournament previously this season.
The player's defensive approach and regular reactions on court had led some to question if his ability to play at the highest level was concluded.
But the player has made changes in the past month, attempting to advance forward and compete positively, backed up by an better serve.
He recovered from a deficit in the opening set against the challenging Frenchman, winning 4 of the concluding five points to take the lead.
Both players traded breaks in the middle set before the challenger, attempting for his first ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to push for a final set.
Moutet saved four early chances in a competitive deciding set before the Russian broke to 15 to serve for the match.
Fittingly, he clinched the win with a point at the net, with the Frenchman incapable to manage a volley after a lengthy match.
